Community Series

Goodday my lovelies runs to hide face because she went AWOL… LOL. Thank you for taking time to actually be here with. T’ … me…considers herself blessed to have people who tune in to read and listen to all the information she has to share. Okay fine, i’ll stop speaking about myself in third person.. who does that? But on a more serious note, I did miss you guys. Would you believe me if I said I had sleepless nights because I couldn’t share with you guys. YUHP. It is that deep. Anyway hello again and I am back!!! dramatic music plays in background!

As mentioned in the below podcast, adulting just went all the way off the roof and yours sincerely, had considered retiring from adulting (however that may look). lol. Nonetheless, I think the beautiful thing about being an adult is being able to look at things through a critical lens and having the choice of adding (either positively or negatively) to what is going on or taking away from it. For instance an example of positive adding to is wearing your damn mask when you step out. Yes I am throwing shade to all of ya’ll who are not adding to the solution. (rolls eyes)

Anywho… I am excited today because when I listed out the tentative topics before I started this podcast, I thought “perhaps I should have a series on different communities”. Listen, if we are being honest, much of the problems between people, communities and even countries happen because people don’t know anything about each other and so much gets misunderstood, miscommunicated, people make decisions based off their biases etc.

As a woman, I stand by “a person who does not identify as a woman, has earned no right to tell a woman about her experiences”… I believe the same rule applies to people who identify differently. In order to understand them, we NEED to hear them. This series is about building community guys. It is not about becoming or agreeing with the other person, it is about opening ourselves up to hearing, understand and saying “I see you, I hear you, I am here for you, I will love you & I will not harm you based off my biases about who you are”.

Mutual respect is imperative for growth and development and that is why I am launching the Community Series on T & T and since this idea was birthed when I thought of talking to our men, we will be starting with the Men Series. NO! this series is NOT justification for abuse and other intolerable or inhumane behaviors. Nope! This is a way to facilitate conversation so we can better understand who our men are, what they go through, their challenges, their outlook on life, how their environment shapes this, boxes society puts them in etc. It is all about gaining perspective guys. It is just about that. We need to stick together guys and focus on what matters.

Do NOT get it twisted, T’ is as feminist as they come. I am against every and anything that puts the woman in a place she does not want to be and I disagree with a lot of things. But above everything, I am human first, I am a black woman so I am against any and everything that puts anyone particularly my people in a place they would rather not be.

We will be talking to our men, women, the youth, my people in the LGBTQ+ community and if possible our kids. WE NEED TO LISTEN TO EACH OTHER! Periodttt!

Thank you all so much for being here again. Stay safe, Covid still has a front row seat in our current movie called life. I love you all! Stay smart!
