Self-Slaying

Life can be shitty, but even its messiness will not last forever. This week episode is the 1st in a two part talk with Dr. Kamesha Spates on suicide particularly in black communities. For the longest time, we as black people have had to be strong and endure so much so that we do not talk about uncomfortable yet real things like suicide. The first step to healing is acknowledging and BLACKLIVESMATTER… YOURLIFE MATTERS so please if you ever feel like you are alone and don’t want to live anymore I am opening my door to you. Send me a message on instagram @visionary_tamakloe or email me at Tamaklo.art@gmail.com. YOU matter and your future can be the light for another. I love you all!

Reflections!!!

Our mind has a wonderful way of drawing from things around us to protect us… sometimes to an extreme detriment of ourselves and that is FEAR. I was schooled to get out of my head after seeing a bird who traveled from one side of a river bank to another so effortlessly. If a bird can reach its destination, so can i… so can we all. (please do not go jump into a river though lol)

Reconciliation 2!

While tensions rise, the harsh reality of the people who are not considered “majority” is made visible. From the numerous deaths of blacks in America and the mistreatment of Africans in Asia, specifically China. We are reminded through these struggles that we are one people. As we brainstorm the way forward, do not forget we ARE the majority and we WILL thrive but to do that, we MUST unite.
